The Book Blurb

Two completely poles apart humans- Ishaani and Agastya, bump into each other on the first day of college. After a lot of hatred, blame-game, insults, and drama, with Agastya’s one thankyou note, things mend. However, Agastya’s life takes a U-turn when he falls for Ishaani and she suddenly disappears from college, and his life, leaving him devastated.

Years later, Ishaani returns- her charisma and presence are still the same, but there’s a secret that comes along -of her past, her present, and Dhruv- the one she’s getting married to! There’s something about Dhruv that’s still unrevealed to her and everyone, but noticed by Agastya.

When he finally discovers the truth, things go horribly wrong, as destiny plays its part and puts the three lives to ultimate test. But the question is, will they be able to survive through this turmoil?

Because…I Never Unloved You is an innocent story of love and hope that will tug at your heartstrings and make you believe in the power of love.

My Review

It is a rom-com about two Indian teenagers' first love and the suspense of their separation, with many lighthearted elements.

When Agastya, a wealthy young guy, and Ishaani, a middle-class girl, met in college, an instant hatred developed between them. Agastya realizes his mistake and apologizes to Ishaani after too many heated fights and misunderstandings. And love blossoms between them. But destiny separates them before they can confess their feelings. Years later, they meet again, one with hope and the other with shock, but the situation becomes more complicated as Ishaani prepares to marry. But their feelings for each other stood between them as fresh as years before.

It is a simple and sweet story that reminds me of an Indian rom-com with drama. The tale is attentive, with numerous characters and powerful main characters. I love the way the author describes the affluent and middle-class issues, inter-caste marriage, responsibility, and societal difficulties. I admire Rajat and Agastya's dynamic. Ishaani always makes me smile.

However, many characters never receive closure. There are just too many lengthy Hindi phrases in the book that simply; do not fit me.

All in All, This book has the journey of two people’s friendship, love, separation, heartbreak, and the realization of love with enormous drama, smiles, and Indian daily touch.

Best Lines of BINUY

Secrets between friends hurt. But when it’s between best friends, it hurts more.
Sometimes, in the fit of rage, we don’t realize how and when we cross our line.
Sometimes it takes us years to know about a person’s intentions and sometimes it can be just moments.
When Love and Hope go hand in hand, either it breaks you or it makes you.
It’s really difficult to hold back tears of separation of the one whom you love the most.
