Best Free Romance Books on Wattpad | Feb 2022

Every reader wants to read new and free books. Wattpad is a fantastic app that I discovered a couple of years ago. I wanted to read more books at the time, but I can't afford to buy them all or obtain a Kindle membership. Wattpad has a massive collection of free e-books. Finding a good book on this app with an excellent writing style and professional quality takes a lot of time. So, here are five romance books that I have previously read and would like to recommend to you.

1. How To Be The Best Third Wheel | Loridee

How To Be The Best Third Wheel | Loridee

Plot - On the first day of her senior year, Lara is shocked to find that her three best friends now have boyfriends who are none other than the best friends of her nemesis-Jameson Bryer. All her plans to have the best last year of school came to an end when she became the third wheel in her group. Jameson blackmails Lara to tutor him. Spending time with James starts to remind her of the feelings of what she has forgotten and ignored for years.

Review - This book was enjoyable, as were the hardships and agony of third-wheelers. I can't stop laughing in the first few pages of this book, and other parts are equally emotional. The writing style is different from what I used to but good to go. The best part is the climax, which gives me a sense of the authenticity of a teenage love journey. This book is a perfect read for a romantic comedy.

Note - Before March, read this book since this story will be published as a paid story on Wattpad.

2. Street Girl | Taylor Hale

Street Girl | Taylor Hale

Plot - Eliot, a high school guy, and a hockey player find a homeless street girl, Lucy, in his father's shed who has come to steal from his home. Despite knowing Lucy's intention, Eliot can’t shake off the feeling of a spark he never felt for anyone before. When Eliot learns more about Lucy, he finds that she was never born on the street and hides her past secrets, her true identity, which is not only dangerous for their feelings but also deadly for his family.

Review - This book was previously an underpaid story, is now absolutely free to read, and won an award. Street Girl is a well-written book that ranks among my favorite Wattpad reads. The storyline is distinctive and original, conveying both the terrible lives of the street girls and Eliot's peculiar mental state. I adore this book and the raw emotions it evokes. This book also includes rape, abuse, and other significant mental health disorders that I had never known before.

3. (Not So) Innocent Little Lies | Lia Álvarez

(Not So) Innocent Little Lies | Lia Álvarez

Plot - Rory Kane has lived her whole life by planning and in her comfort zone, but when her best friend’s crush asks her out, she'll do anything to get Will Porter off her back, even if it means making a bargain with the guy she despises the most—Carter Grey. Carter is not just a popular guy in her school but also a man whore, and Rory hates the way he lives, but he is the only one who helps her to get out of this situation by fake dating him. Everything is in order; all she needs to do now is pretend, hold hands, go on a few dates, put on a public show of drama, and have a terrible breakup. But everything is wrong from the start because this is Carter, not the usual guy, and far from the popular guy, making it hard to hide the secret from him.

Review - This is one of my favorite Wattpad books and was wonderfully written. I enjoyed reading this book and am astonished by the unexpected emotional rollercoaster. Carter and Rory are two of my favorite characters. Carter is not your typical popular guy; he is genuine and grounded, and I admire his opinions and personality. Rory is a painfully honest character that makes you fall in love with her instantly. The romance in this story is stunning, and my favorite part is the last part; live life like a human and take a risk.

4. Not If I See You First | Summer Darcy

Not If I See You First | Summer Darcy

Plot - Ada Datchery has begun an internship at her dream job as a celebrity paparazzi. The first encounter with Liam Anders, a Hollywood hottest young celebrity, sparks a scandal and rumors of a romance between them. However, this unexpected meeting helps Liam and Ada's careers by allowing them to act in front of cameras. Ada becomes a star and the center of all other paparazzi, but she prefers to remain behind the cameras, not in front. Ada's boss demands her to reveal Liam's secrets to secure her permanent place in the company, but it costs her morals, and most importantly, her heart.

Review - This book is written in a way that makes you want to read it all at once. I like reading about celebrity relationships with the paparazzi and the lives they must lead as a result. The hardship of the paparazzi is brilliantly expressive, and the ruin of a celebrity career due to wrong opinions also makes you admire this book. The best aspect of this book is that it shows the gap between what our elders believe is the ideal job and what we truly want to accomplish. This book has humorous banter, deep emotions, and a light romance.

5. For The Love Of The Game | LD Waters

For The Love Of The Game | LD Waters

Plot - Riley Diaz is a hardworking young woman who left to care for her two younger brothers when her parents tragically get deported. After a tiring day at work, she runs into her handsome new neighbor, Noah, who is looking to make a fresh start. Riley kindly offers to help him finish moving in, but neither of them expects her to break a $15,000 computer. Knowing she can't afford to repay him, she strikes a deal with her attractive neighbor. The bargain will force her to return to a world of games she has long forgotten.

Review - I picked this book to kill my time and was pleasantly impressed by the writing and narrative, both impressive and mature. Noah and Riley are two charming characters that will stay with me for a long time. The story begins with comedy, then draws you in, and eventually makes you emotional. The author beautifully writes about the harsh reality of immigration, and the best part is that the author does not finish the storyline far from fact but instead connects it to reality. Every chapter that references the games also appeals to me, and the plot is fast-paced and can be read in a few hours.
