Book Blurb :
My Review :
I was looking to read college romance and came across this book. This book takes me to the perfect and spectacular life story of a famous hockey captain, a bad boy and singer, composer, beautiful, intelligent bossy girl.
Garrett and Hannah's relationship, characters, and plot were well-developed and floated smoothly. The romance between them is slow-burning, and the relationship they share does not start with instant desire. They started their relationship with the need of the scenario after knowing each other they became friends or after, that they worked on their attraction or sexual tension and developed a beautiful relationship. They both help each other in their low and haunted past and overcome their fears.
Their banter, bickering, romance, and unexpected twists of events, pain, suffering, separation, and best friend's moments make it my favorite book. This book also shows a teen's rush choices of mistakes and learns from them and their messier lifestyle. It also shows the teens' thoughts differently and the effects of childhood memories.
The first chapter hooked me in the book, so I read it in one go and lost my sleep. My goofy smile didn't leave my face until the end, and I laughed with them as I lived and watched every moment with them, easy visualization indeed. I even received questioning looks from my family, like I'm going crazy, literally.
Still, I felt like I left something to express my experience. I'm going to remember many moments of this book, the boys' locker room scene was unforgettable, and Hannah is the only one who can do things like that, obsessed with this book.
I am in love with Hannah and Garrett, and their story also does not stop thinking about them and the following books. I am so happy that I picked this book. You are also going after reading this one.
Storyline -
Hannah Wells is a sassy, bold-brave, queen of comebacks and sarcastic girl and crushing over a football player for a long time. Catching his attention is only possible by breaking her own rules and the bits of help by a popular-cocky, arrogant hockey player.
Garrett Graham has only one dream: to become a pro hockey player. Now, the problem is his falling study marks. Only a girl who receives an 'A' in the entire ethics class, and he never noticed before, helps him by tutoring. But making her agree to do that is like a long road. Hannah is more stubborn than he thought.
They both have a problem, and they are the only solution to their problems, so they make a deal. A deal is to pretend for a one-day date. But they forget to draw a line where it finished.
Recommendation
- If you want to read a book based on college romance or a fake relationship, go with this one.
- If you are looking for reading a rich storyline with solid characters and steamy romance, go with this book.
- If you are comfortable reading abuse scenes, go with this book.
- This book has many mature scenes and adult scenes.
- This book is absolutely a good pick for beginners. And the ones who like to read books with different background characters.
- The main characters have interests in hockey, composing, and singing, so there is only a basic explanation for them; If you do not know about them or are confused about reading them. There are not many scenes and can smoothly go into the book.

Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them.
Living well and being happy is how we get over the shit in our past.
The ice looked so shiny and smooth, until you got close enough to it, and suddenly all the uneven edges and crisscrossed skate marks became visible. That’s me, I guess. Covered with skate marks that nobody ever seems to notice.
People should be nice because they are, not because it’s a calculated move on their part.
When you’ve already been disappointed by the one person you’re supposed to trust most in your life, you’re not exactly keen on giving people any kind of ammunition over you.
